Savannah Cats are a breed in progress but they are getting there. The Savannah is bred from the African Serval. There is a lot of work that goes into bringing this hybrid into your homes. The Savannah is bred down from the Serval but all Savannahs have some percent of wild blood in them and that should be kept in mind when considering if this breed is right for you. Savannah cats come in generations from the F1 to the F7 and in different classes like A, B, C and SBT all depending on how far they are from the actual African Serval.

UPDATE Savannah cats have been accepted by TICA as a Championship breed starting this year 2012

The Savannah needs to have several strong characteristics of the African Serval. Some of those included are the larger ears that sit close on top of the head. The lean but muscular body, the short tail and the hooded eyes, black tear stains and black nose is magnificent.

Neala is a Sphynx kitten that captured a lot of
hearts in a short time. We hope that others will
benefit from her unfortunate events while here
on earth.. God bless!

COMMON MISUNDERSTANDING:
If you want a really large cat you need to look for an F1. It is not the size of the Savannah that makes it so special. It is their personality!
